Highclere Court is a block of 9 flats built in the late 20th Century replacing a previous Edwardian house, 27 Avenue Road. Beyond, with the turret, is Cadoxton Place, a distinctive house built in the late 19th Century, originally named St Raphael's. Until 2010 this was a home for the blind; it has since been subdivided into flats and renamed.
