This has since (c.2012) been completely rebuilt https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3080379 . Central, part of the Scottish Bus Group, was the major operator in the Lanarkshire area. As a nationalised operator, it standardised for many years on Bristol vehicles, BL298 being a Bristol Lodekka FLF with ECW bodywork new in 1966. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
