This is the Wye, tidal at this point, as it flows through Chepstow to join the Severn. Taken from the Old Wye Bridge, standing in Gloucestershire but photographing Monmouthshire. The day was dull with a fine drizzle and then, for a brief moment, a shaft of sunlight cut through the cloud to highlight the muddy bank.
