Pond off Chelveston Crescent

This small pond is located inside a public green space in a sea of modern housing. The green space includes a former area of isolated woodland which was surrounded by the fields upon which the houses were built. The Ordnance Survey 1/2500 map editions of 1886 and 1902 show the wood, but no pond. The 1914 revision shows a small pond within the wood and on the 1937 edition the pond has grown to the shape it is today.
