One of the rare locations where red London buses ran in essentially rural surroundings, this being green belt territory with Hainault Forest in the background. Remarkably, this is still agricultural land in 2021. The iconic RT type of bus (this is RT595), introduced in 1939, would finally reach the end of its era just a few months later. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
