The foundation stone of Christ Church at Bryn Y Maen, known as the Cathedral of the hills, was laid on 4 May 1897. It was built in the Neo-Perpendicular style at the expense of Mrs Eleanor Frost in memory of her late husband Charles Frost. The architects were Douglas and Fordham of Chester. The Bishop of St. Asaph consecrated the completed building on Tuesday, 28 September 1899. The Grade II* listed https://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=14722 church sits high above sea level affording views over the town of Colwyn Bay.
