Glyndebourne Opera House

This was opened in 1994. It seats 1150 people, replacing the one built for John Christie in 1934. Glyndebourne has a summer Festival season at which patrons wear evening dress and eat picnics on the lawn (as well as enjoying superb opera). This photo was taken in the autumn when Glyndebourne Touring Opera has a season before peforming at other places around England. See http://www.glyndebourne.com/.
