In all my years walking this is the only time I have seen a blatant obstruction of a public footpath. You can actually just about squeeze past and climb over the old stile, by first climbing onto the dumper truck and hanging off as best you can to get over the stile - so it isn't really blocked totally. But walkers will be deterred, the less able-bodied will be unable to clamber over. The alternative is to retrace your steps and use the lane - which I guess is precisely what the landowner here wants. I am returning soon, with friends. And reporting this to Shropshire County Council footpaths personnel, if they still exist...
