It's not apparent but this is a barn conversion, it was converted in 1926 by W.W. Blair-Fish, who wrote for the Sunday Times and Punch. He was also a successful architect. The builder was local man, Joe Warmington. The house is Grade II listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1305605
