Magnificent old sundial in Alnwick town centre

This sundial, dated 1737, is a very nice one, though easily missed because it's high up on the wall. Despite its age it's in good condition. As can be seen from the shadows (at 2 pm) in this photograph it doesn't get much sun in winter. Curious to learn what the inscription 'I : F' above it means.
