Barely discernable through the mist, the boat ahead is Nick Wolfe's traditional Grand Union narrowboat 'Aldgate'. It is usually moored here or hereabouts. Beyond that is Grantham's Bridge on a short arm; the canal itself leads off to the left and down Hillmorton bottom locks.
