At Cassells Bridge on the A803 between Falkirk and Linlithgow is this old weathered milestone set into the stone wall. Any inscription has long since weathered away. On the OS 1st Edition OS 1860 Linlithgow 5, Edinburgh 21, Falkirk 3, Stirling 14 are noted. On the 2nd Edition Stirlingshire it says Falkirk 2, Linlithgow 5. There is no metal Grangemouth Foundry post at this position although Falkirk 1½ and Falkirk 3½ are in place.
