It is believed to be student accommodation, a genre that has spawned in the town in recent years. For some students, Leamington has the vibe that the Warwick University campus and Coventry University's towers lack. The immediate neighbours of the block pictured are humble 19th-century outbuildings to the rear of the four-storey houses, now shops, on the Parade: the building to its left looks like a coach house. It is certainly a contrast but I think contrast is preferable to pastiche, of which there is a dire example at the end of the street.
