OS Bench Mark

OS cut bench mark from the 19th century levelling, on corner of No.57 Edward Street. 24.8 feet above old datum. This BM appears on the 1889 25" map but not on subsequent revisions. A BM on the opposite corner of the street is marked on the 1931 and 1937 editions, but has now been destroyed. The original BM is listed in the OS database.
