Purton railway station (site), Wiltshire

Opened in 1841 on the Great Western Railway's line from Swindon to Stroud, this station closed in 1964. View west towards Minety and Stroud. The former booking office survives, the flat roof being a later addition, along with part of the platform. After around 45 years of being single track here (see Image), the line was redoubled in 2014.
