This shows the tidied up remains of the flats at the northern end of Gibbs Crescent where an explosion took place in February 2017 killing one resident and displacing 11 others. The exact circumstances were never determined and it is not known whether it was a deliberate act or not. In any case, a decision was taken to redevelop the entire site and the remaining blocks currently await demolition.
