The stream (flowing away from the camera) is the main tributary of Langtree Lake. Langtree Bridleway 6 enters the field a metre or two to the right, so it is perhaps not surprising that this low-lying spot should be extremely muddy. The wood alongside the stream is unnamed on the maps.
