The inscription reads 'Erected by a grateful parish, to the glory of God and in undying memory of their brothers who gave their lives for their country in the Great War 1914-1918 and is dated August 1919. It lists six names; the young men who never returned to this little place. A century on we still remember their sacrifice and the loss borne by their families and community.
