Under the name Studio Vertigo, light artists Lucy McDonnell and Stephen Newby design objects that transform our day-to-day environment and turn the world upside down. For Corridor of Light, Our Beating Heart featured a giant mirror ball in the shape of a heart that slowly rotated on a vertical axis, creating a visual spectacle of thousands of spots of light moving in fantastical, swirling and changing patterns across Manchester’s newest neighbourhood, Circle Square.
