View taken from Brantridge Lane looking W. This gate house is on the main drive to Ditton Place. The importance of the entrance is amplified by the positioning of the post office letter box on the N side. The OS map describes Ditton Place as a School, but this may no longer be its function. The entrance plaque on the S gate post has the word "School" blacked out (quite neatly - not a vandalising act of graffiti!).
