View westward on an October afternoon. To the left, the gardens of Thornhill Square; to the right, the churchyard within the semi-circle of Thornhill Crescent. Spending a few afternoons walking round Barnsbury after being away for many years, I'm staggered by the near-absence of motor traffic. It's hard to believe that you're only 15 or 20 minutes' walk from the bustle and pollution of Euston Road, King's Cross and St Pancras.
