A building that would stand out anywhere in the country, the more so amid the Regency stucco of Cheltenham. Built as the Central Electricity Lighting Station in 1894-95 by Joseph Hall, the Borough Surveyor. Pevsner's description is curiously succinct, but it is derived from the C15th Strozzi Palace in Florence. Grade II listed. It has now been converted to a luxury boutique hotel.
