When work commenced on Pride Park in 1993, redeveloping a vast tract of former railway land to the east of Derby station, it was clear that access needed to be improved. One solution was the creation of a path following the River Derwent for cyclists and pedestrians. These benches along the route offer the opportunity to sit and contemplate the river.
