Public house at the corner of London Road and Ross Street. It claims to be the oldest established pub in the City of Glasgow, dating back to (according to the date above the door) 1679. The original building (see Canmore https://canmore.org.uk/site/167997/glasgow-179-183-london-road) was demolished in 1903 and replaced by the current one. The letters 'y-c-s' are all that remain of 'Lynch's' - the name of the lounge bar of the pub.
