Looking west, with the station buildings beyond. This is an unusual arrangement: regular trains of no more than four carriages stop the other side of the bridge along the raised section of platform, but the platform continues at its original height this side of the bridge to serve occasional longer charter trains, an arrangement more clearly seen in Image Image was taken before the platform height was raised.
