Photo taken looking south from Bridgeman Road. Thornhill Square could well be the biggest of the Islington squares. At the northern end of the enclosed communal gardens there is the little wooded area seen in the picture. Beyond it there is a playground for young children, and then an open area of lawns and flowerbeds (quite relaxed, not formal). I won't hazard a guess at the acreage enclosed, but it amounts to a good little urban park - and a tremendous asset for the local community.
