Former naval gun shop

Former factory built in 1906 for the manufacture of 15 inch naval guns. At 815ft long, it was the longest industrial workshop in Europe when built. The site expanded during the First World War to also produce tanks and aeroplanes. Following closure in the 1920s, it became a gunnery depot before final closure in the 1970s.
