The widened Ridgeway Lane reaches the western boundary of the HS2 site whose front gate is off Welsh Road in Image Tunnelling under Long Itchington Wood starts from this site: ahead is a mound of spoil from the enabling excavations. It was reported that a tunnelling machine is being assembled from parts flown in from Germany: the white structure relates to that: see Image
