Two railway bridges across Main Road near Longfield. The arch bridge carried a branch line from the main line to Gravesend. That line closed in 1953. The concrete bridge in the foreground was built to provide a link from the traditional main line to the first phase of High Speed 1, which opened in 2003. This section of line was temporary, enabling Eurostar services from London to Paris and Brussels to access the high speed line to the Channel Tunnel, until the second phase of High Speed 1 opened in 2007. Main Road forms part of the route of the B260 road.
