The inscription on the base is "IRENE MAY NASH DECEMBER 3RD 1925. WIFE OF PERCY LOUIS CHARLES NASH B.A. PRIEST. 32 YEARS VICAR OF USK WITH GLASCOED AND MONKSWOOD, LATER RECTOR OF GWERNESNEY WITH LLANDEVIEW WHO DIED JUNE 10TH 1948 IN HIS 84TH YEAR AND 58TH OF HIS PRIESTHOOD. ON WHOSE SOULS SWEET JESUS HAVE MERCY".
