The clock tower Image was presented to Kenilworth in 1906 by G.M. Turner as a memorial to his late wife. The upper part of the structure was damaged in November 1940 by a landmine which also destroyed the adjacent Globe Hotel, killing 28 people. The clock tower was ultimately restored in 1973 when the stone crown was reinstated and in 1974 a local blacksmith constructed a replacement weather vane.
