The runners are all participants in the 2021 Cathedral to Castle (Lichfield to Tamworth) 10 mile race, who have just turned off Coton Lane at the junction 100 yards away, and are about to run through the housing estates towards the centre of town. The race was held in Sept 2021, following a couple of years when it was postponed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic
