Grade II Listed 18th century or earlier. The rear wing was probably originally cottages. Directories list the following previous landlords, 1842-1844 Eliza Vacher, 1852 George Hixson, 1855-1859 J Smith, 1875 Frederick Luker, 1889 Frank Bartley and 1895-1915 Ernest Alfred Penney.
