Grade II Listed public school classroom 1909-10 by Sir Reginald Blomfield with 19th and 20th century extensions. The building incorporating and replacing, in part, the old Abbey Silk Mill, was to be used as new laboratories and classrooms. The foundation stone was laid on the 8th December 1909 in the presence of The Right Hon. the Earl of Shaftesbury, Headmaster Charles Nowell Smith, Colonel W. Watts, Dr W. Hammond, and Granville Grenfell. The building was extensively refurbished for the millennium.
