What is believed to be the former platform for Cathays Cemetery is seen from a passing train. Though the precise location of the platform is not clear from sources in which it is mentioned, the proxity to the cemetery and matching description of a short platform on the up line of the Rhymney Railway with a gentle slope to assist the onward movement of coffins certainly accord.
