This Massey Ferguson 135 tractor was taking part in the Robinson Road Run Tractor Spectacular in September 2021. The participants assembled on the John Eve Field in Market Deeping prior to driving in convoy around several neighbouring villages. The event was organised by the Newborough Young Farmers' Club and was staged in order to raise funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and the mental health charity MIND. Several hundred thousand Massey Ferguson 135 tractors were manufactured between 1964 and 1975. According to the owner's information, this particular example was manufactured in Coventry in December 1969 and is equipped with a Perkins 3-cylinder direct injection diesel engine producing 45.50hp. It was first registered in April 1970 and was purchased new for £961 by a farm at Upton near Peterborough where it remained in daily use for 45 years; adjusted for inflation, the purchase price was equivalent to £15,202 at 2020 prices.
