This red sandstone wall beside Petteril Bank Road is the garden wall of Lady Gillford’s House, now the Carlisle Registration Office and Carlisle Archive Centre. Behind the wall there is a car park. There is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark visible low down on the wall on a large stone (photograph Image).
