No open fields here today! Castle Lane is a dual carriageway, with Bournemouth Royal Hospital now developed to the right and the Littledown Centre to the left. No flyover at Cooper Dean as Wessex Way did not yet exist. The view was taken from the top of an open-top trolleybus making its way to Mallard Road Depot after taking part in the parade on the final day of trolleybus operation in Bournemouth.
