This small gate leads into an area of lawned garden at the side of Blencowe Hall (renamed from Blencow Hall by the current owners, The Rowley Estates). Adjacent to the gate, on one of the stones beside an archway leading into the courtyard there is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark (photograph Image).
