Following a five-vehicle road traffic accident further north along the A419 at around 09.30 BST on this day the north-bound carriageway was closed for about nine hours and traffic was prevented from entering at the Commonhead intersection. This photo was taken at 15.56. On a normal day the slip road and the main carriageway would be full of traffic. The south-bound carriageway is marked by a long queue of stationary vehicles held up by congestion caused by the road closure.
