Having been cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, the 2021 show was postponed from its normal May date to August. Although on a slightly smaller scale than usual, there was plenty of interest for boating enthusiasts. Among the exhibits was this widebeam boat offered for sale by Tingdene. Ordinary narrowboats have a seven-foot beam and can go anywhere on the canal network, but widebeams are restricted to wide canals (which includes most of the Grand Union). Many are bought as residential accommodation rather than for extensive cruising.
