Opened in 1871 by the Great Western Railway on the line from London Paddington to Reading, also the branch line to Greenford. View east towards Acton Main Line and Paddington just after modernisation. Compare with Image taken from a similar position. The old booking office straddling the tracks to the right of the image had just closed and been replaced by a new station building (seen above the train) connecting with a new footbridge and step-free access. A new platform had been opened for the branch line, which the train is standing at.
