Broad Street meeting hall was the brainchild of a local businessman; it opened in 2000 and was registered as a charity three years later. It offers a meeting space for local community groups and service providers. See its website here http://broadstreetmeetinghall.co.uk/home-2/about/ The original meeting hall occupied a former Salvation Army mission hut. It was replaced in 2020 by the building shown in the photograph, which was designed by the Dutch architect Joelle Bolt of BPN Architects. The distinctive striped gable end is faced with powder-coated aluminium drainpipe material and symbolises the cultural diversity of the Foleshill district. The building is notable for its very high thermal efficiency. See this report from the Coventry Society https://news.coventrysociety.org.uk/2020/05/11/broad-street-meeting-hall-all-ready-to-open/ .
