25-29 North Street comprise of two mid-19th century houses with shops. Originally slated, they were re-roofed with pantiles in 1979. They are both Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22376. The Barbers Pole, Angelines and Ego occupy the ground floor shops.
