From left to right: 9 North Street was an early 19th century grain store. The wallhead chimneys were part of the grain drying process. The building was restored by Falkirk District Council in 1978. It is category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22404. One of the two shops appears to be the Polish ADA Shop, but may be closed. 15 North Street is a mid to later 19th century tenement with ground floor shop, also restored by Falkirk District Council in 1978 and category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22403. It is currently occupied by Weslo Housing Management. 17-23 North Street was originally a two-storey building with an attic, but was heightened in the late 20th century to three storeys. The shops appear to be empty at present. 25-29 North Street comprise of two mid-19th century houses with shops. They were re-roofed with pantiles in 1979. They are both Category C listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22376. The Barbers Pole, Angelines and Ego occupy the ground floor shops.
