Christ Church with St Ewen has a mechanical display of quarterjacks, or at least it did. After 350 years or more of standing on their plinths, ready to turn and strike the bells, they were taken down for inspection in 2013. Sadly, they were found to be in very poor condition and are now kept in the museum for intended repair. The carved firgures will require a lot of time, effort and (of course) money to return them. Just keep your eyes peeled...
