It scrubbed up well

This building has recently emerged, butterfly-like, from its scaffolding and sheeting cocoon. Several years after a substantial renovation, this stark but crisp white edifice shows little clue as to what it will be. Originally opened as the People's Palace theatre it later became a cinema, night club and sports bar. However, the lifespan of such establishments can be short.
