New terraced housing at the Lang Loan development between the Murrays and the city bypass (previously West Edge Farm). Includes 45 homes for social and mid market rent and a further 20 for Golden Share. https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/directory-record/1099353/lang-loan The Strategic Development Plan for South East Scotland 2013 stated Edinburgh needed over 20,000 houses by 2026. The development plan identified South East Edinburgh as a strategic development area with the potential to provide 7,800 homes on 20 hectares of farmland.
