Watford: The Town Square and The One Bell public house

This is Watford's new piazza-style Town Square, created by the demolition of some 1950s infill buildings on the High Street, one of whose occupiers at one time was Ratners the jewellers. The steps lead up from the High Street, between the four masks on masts sculptures, to New Street and then around to the left to Image The One Bell holds the oldest existing licence of any present-day Watford pubs, from around 1660, although the current building only dates from around 1900.
