Part of the Wheal Jane mine, the last working mine in Cornwall. In 1992 a new water treatment system was established, following an incident when coloured waste materials were discharged into the Fal estuary. http://www.projects.ex.ac.uk/geomincentre/estuary/Main/jane.htm
